The Department of Strategic Development was established in accordance with Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5436, Article 15 and operates in accordance with Public Financial Management Law No. 5436, Article 60 and Article 15.

The Department of Strategic Development’s Units perform the following functions:

a) Strategic management and planning:

1) Mission determination.

2) Identification of institutional and individual goals.

3) Data-analysis and research-development.

b) Development of performance and quality criteria.

c) Information management.

d) Provision of financial services

1) Budget and performance programming

2) Accounting, final accounts, and reporting.

3) Internal control.
